The Defendoor from Ace Double Glazing is the only fully accredited fire-rated door which meets current EN safety standards and Building Regulations requirements. To do this, the Defendoor is independently tested to EN 1634 European Regulations for Fire and Smoke resistance and to PAS 24 standards for security. It is Q Marked for both tests, receiving dual certification. The Winkhaus door slab is independently tested twice, by Winkhaus and by the Fabricator. In fire safe testing the 30 minute fire rated door actually provides 59 minutes of protection and the 60 minute fire rated door provides 85 minutes of protection.

 

It is an essential door system for housing associations, local councils, and developers who want to ensure the safety of their tenants. The latest government advice suggests that any landlords or owners of multi-occupancy properties who suspect that their doors don’t meet current fire or smoke resistance performance should replace their door sets.
