How Much Does a Composite Door Cost in Plymouth?

Every composite door is priced individually, so there’s no single fixed figure — but a few things typically affect the cost:

  • Size and configuration — a standard single door versus a door with side panels or a wider opening
  • Glazing style — from simple obscure glass to decorative or bespoke designs
  • Hardware and finish — handle, cylinder and colour choices, including Coastal’s premium ranges
  • Colour — standard shades versus dual-colour or specialist finishes
  • Site requirements — access, existing frame condition, and any structural work needed

The best way to get an accurate figure for your home is a free survey and no-obligation quote — or start building your door with the CompDoor designer to see how your choices come together first.

Security

Every CompDoor is built around a solid 48mm timber core and reinforced with Active Snap Protection, guarding against snap-and-grab attacks on the cylinder. Locking is PAS24: 2016 compliant as standard, with an ABS security cylinder fitted to every door — the same standard used to help meet Secured by Design and Building Regulations requirements.

  • 48mm solid timber core
  • Highly advanced multi-point locking system
  • All locks compliant PAS24: 2016
  • ABS security cylinder as standard

Energy Efficiency

An outstanding 1.4 W/m²K U-value means a CompDoor helps keep the heat in and draughts out, all year round. The TriSeal frame and CoolSkin technology are engineered to maximise thermal performance without compromising on style, helping reduce heat loss through your front entrance and supporting a more energy-efficient home.

Hardware That's Guaranteed to Perform for Life

Choose qualifying Coastal BLU, DURATIQUE or EDWIN door hardware and your door benefits from Coastal’s Performance for Life Guarantee. If the covered hardware fails under normal use, Coastal will supply a like-for-like replacement and cover the labour cost of re-fitting it — at no extra cost to you.

The guarantee doesn’t cover misuse, accidents, failure to follow care and maintenance guidance, or unapproved alterations, and excludes equipment hire, redecoration and incidental damage. It’s valid on doors specified from 1 January 2026.

Composite Door FAQs

Prices vary depending on the size of the door, the glazing style, the hardware you choose, and any additional features like side panels. The best way to get an accurate cost for your home is a free, no-obligation quote — or start designing your door online with CompDoor to see your options first.

Yes. Every CompDoor composite door we install comes with a 48mm solid timber core, Active Snap Protection, and a high-security locking system that’s PAS24: 2016 compliant as standard, with an ABS security cylinder included. This is one of the most secure front door options available for Plymouth homes.

Composite doors are built to withstand everyday weather and use without warping, rotting, or fading the way timber doors can over time. With normal care, they’re a genuinely long-term investment — and hardware covered under the Performance for Life Guarantee gives extra peace of mind on top of that.

There are over 250 colour combinations available inside and out, plus a choice of traditional, contemporary, and modern styles, glazing options, and hardware finishes. You can browse these and see them on a door shape close to yours using the CompDoor online designer.

Most composite door installations are completed in a single day by our own directly-employed fitters — we don’t use commission-based salespeople or subcontractors, so you get a consistent, professional job from survey through to fitting.

All our products come with a comprehensive Insurance Backed 10 Year Guarantee. Where qualifying Coastal hardware is specified, it’s also covered separately by Coastal’s Performance for Life Guarantee, which provides a like-for-like replacement and covers the labour cost of re-fitting if it fails under normal use.
